Application of Numerical Methods to the Calculation of Electrostatic Fields in Aircraft Fuel Tanks.

Abstract

The solution of electrostatic field problems occurring during the refueling of aircraft fuel tanks containing explosion suppressant foams is discussed. A computational model of a fuel tank is set up, and the finite element method is used to calculate the electrostatic potential distribution within the tank. (Author)
