Employee Commitment to Organizations: A Conceptual Review.

Abstract

This report summarizes available theory and research on organizational commitment. Competing definitions of commitment are reviewed and an integrated definition is offered. Typologies of commitment are reviewed. Finally, the empirical literature bearing on antecedents and consequences of organizational commitment are reviewed. (Author)
