Theoretical Research Upon Charge Transfer with Intermediate Nitric Oxide Ion.

Abstract

Theoretical investigations of the electronic structure radiative transition probabilities of atmospheric species and of kinetic reaction rates for electron-ion and atom-atom reactions are in progress. These studies are being performed using quantum mechanical methods and digital computer codes based on both ab initio methods, employing configuration-interaction (CI), and density functional methods, employing developments and extensions of models used previously in solid state calculations.
