Nonuclear Cruise Missiles: Potential in Theater Warfare. Volume I. Executive Summary.

Abstract

Conflict environment in which a conventionally armed cruise missile could be used are outlined; options for deployment of a sea-going cruise missile force on submarines and surface/airborne platforms are discussed; and selected launcher levels are projected to the year 2000. A description of the Tomahawk system together with system/subsystem growth options is provided. Recommendations are made concerning program plains for conventionally armed cruise missile systems.
