Assessment of TACS-2000 Concepts and Technology.

Abstract

This report is based on efforts of the Electronic Systems Division Deputy for Development Plans and the Rome Air Development Center Tactical Air Control System (TACS)-2000 Working Group. It describes in general terms the battlefield environment in which the future deployable Tactical Air Control System (TACS) will be employed, goals and alternative system concepts for the future TACS, and briefly assesses the ability of the Air Force's current technology program to support realization of the concepts.
