Abstract

This report is a summary of the state-of-the-art and of trends in development in the field of quality control in complex, highly automated production systems. Special emphasis is given to the development and use of modern optical sensor systems and components in industrial metrology. The report compares and contrasts accomplishments in the field in both the USA and the Federal Republic of Germany.
