Computer Program for Optimum Nonlinear Dynamic Design of Reinforced Concrete Slabs under Blast Loading (CBARCS), Users Guide.

Abstract

This report is a user's guide for CBARCS, a computer program for optimum nonlinear dynamic design of reinforced concrete slabs under blast loading. Given the explosive parameters and geometry of the slab, CBARCS computes the blast environment and the structural resistance, mass, and stiffness of the slab and solves for the dynamic response. The program contains optimization subroutines that provide for automatic optimum design of least-cost structural slabs. CBARCS will assist engineers in the design and analysis of facilities that are intended to contain the effects of accidental explosions. (Author)
