Proof of Concept Study,

Abstract

Field test data were analyzed and computer simulations performed to validate the predictions of an earlier study, which calculated the minimum detectable quantities (MDQ's) of trace gases that can be detected remotely using high-resolution spectroscopy. The study demonstrates convincingly that reliable detection can be achieved near the MDQ level in a benign real-world environment. (Author)
