Cost Based Acceptance Sampling Plans and Process Control Schemes.

Abstract

A review of procedures for designing acceptance sampling plans and process control schemes according to economic criteria is given. The use of nonstatistical criteria to design these procedures has been the subject of considerable research, and a number of different process models and procedures have been developed. A comparison of the major approaches to model formulation and design, and a discussion of the practical implementation of these techniques is the primary focus of this paper. (Author)
