Single Mode Optical Waveguide Design Investigation.
Abstract
A total of six fibers have been fabricated with parameters fitting the design matrix; Microbend sensitivity measurements have been made on five of the fibers; The data collection procedure for the angular offset sensitivity measurements has been modified and automated in order to improve measurement reliability; and Lateral offset measurements have been made on two fibers as a function of V-value and the data fitted to the equation given in Progress Report 2.
