Abstract

CIVILIAN MANPOWER STATISTICS (CMS) is a monthly publication of Washington Headquarters Services, Directorate for Information Operations and Reports (WHS/DIOR) of the Office of the Secretary of Defense. CMS provides audited, statistical information on the entire civilian workforce of the Department of Defense with the exception of personnel of the National Security Agency and personnel paid from non-appropriated funds. It is produced primarily from a computerized data base developed and maintained by WHS/DIOR from monthly information provided to the Office of Personnel Management on SF 113-A, Monthly Report of Federal Civilian Employment.
