Monolithic Microwave Preamplifier.

Abstract

A GaAs monolithic microwave preamplifier has been fabricated and characterized. The design was implemented by a cascade connection of eight stages in a single ended configuration. The input, output and interstage matching sections utilized microelectronic spiral rectangular inductors and MOM capacitors. The best unit yielded an average gain of 25 dB from 3 to 8 GHz. (Author)
