New Optimization Research.

Abstract

During the contract period research has concentrated in the following five major areas: (1) Smooth nonparametric regression by quadratic programming; (2) Integer programming and optimal capacities and locations for distribution centers; (3) Project scheduling--Statistical treatment of PERT critical path analysis; (4) Linear programming in statistical estimation problems--L sub 1 estimation; and (5) Statistical control of nonlinear programming--Confidence limits for global optima.
