Abstract

RECENT RESULTS ON DIGITAL STRAIGHTNESS AND CONVEXITY ARE REVIEWED, AND IT IS SHOWN THAT THE CRITERIA FOR A SET OF LATTICE POINTS TO BE THE DIGITIZATION OF A CONVEX SET, OR FOR A DIGITAL ARC TO BE THE DIGITIZATION OF A STRAIGHT LINE SEGMENT, DEPEND CRITICALLY ON THE DEFINITION OF DIGITIZATION THAT IS USED.
