Software and Support Development for an Environmental Data Buoy System for Predicting Surf-Zone Characteristics

Abstract

A data-buoy system has been designed, fabricated, tested, and evaluated for measuring offshore wave and currents for a prediction model(s) which predict breaker statistics and longshore currents. Accuracies with errors less than 10% have been achieved with this system. Over 20 software programs have been developed for buoy application.
