Long-Term Operation of a Sealed Waveguide CO 2 Laser,

Abstract

A mass spectrometer has been utilized to study the gas composition during operation of a CO2 laser using a BeO waveguide. The results of this study have allowed us to construct sealed waveguide lasers with predicted lifetimes in excess of 7000 h. (Author)
