The Mutagenic Potential of: 3-Nitrophenyl Dimethylphosphinate, 4-Nitrophenyl 4-Methoxyphenyl (Methyl) Phosphinate, 4-Nitrophenyl 4-Methylphenyl (Methyl) Phosphinate, 4-Nitrophenyl di-n-butylphosphinothioate.

Abstract

The mutagenic potential of 3 nitrophenyl dimethylphosphinate (111*); 4-nitrophenyl 4-methoxyphenyl(methyl)phosphinate (47-A*); 4-nitrophenyl(methyl)phosphinate (73-BM*); 4-nitrophenyl di-n-butlyphosphinate (107*) was assessed by using the Ames Salmonella/Mammalian Microsome Mutagenicity Assay. Tester strains TA 98, TA 100, TA 1535, TA 1537 and 1538 were exposed to doses ranging from 1 mg/plate to 3.2 X 10 to the minus 4th power mg/plate. It was determined that none of the tested substances had mutagenic potential.
