User Considerations in Computer-Based Information System

Abstract

The purpose of this report is to compile in one document the variety of user considerations relating to software design of computer-based information systems. Approximately 500 such considerations that currently exist in a variety of thirteen source documents are included. For organizational purposes, the compilation was divided into seven major parts including data organization, dialogue modes, user input devices, command language and command processing, feedback and error management, security and disaster prevention, and multiple user communication.
