Abstract
The Dam is a buttressed concrete structure approximately 220 ft long and 18 ft high. The dam is an overflow structure with the entire length of dam serving as a spillway. A 38 ft wide emergency spillway is located at the right abutment, 0.5 ft above the crest of the spillway. The dam is a small size structure and is assigned a significant hazard classification. The spillway will pass 10 percent of the Probable maximum Flood (PMF) or 44 percent of the SDF without overtopping the non-overflow section. The spillway is rated inadequate, but not seriously inadequate. The visual inspection did not reveal any problems which would require immediate attention. It is recommended that the owner engage the services of a Professional Engineering firm to perform a stability analysis in order to evaluate the stability of the dam and modify as necessary. An emergency operation and warning plan should be developed. Spalling concrete and scattered cracking on the dam should be repaired including the damaged overflow section beside counterfort No. 11.
