A Comparison of the Approaches Taken by the United States and the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics in Establishing Health Standards.

Abstract

A review of the literature is given. Efforts of several international organizations to promote closer agreement of US and USSR public health value is covered. The report points out the difference in approaches taken by the two countries. Trends in recommended standards that have occurred in the past 20 years is discussed. (Author)
