Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate all feasible alternative plans for providing adequate water supplies, protecting flood-prone areas, preventing flood damages and meeting the recreational needs of the Pawcatuck river and Narragansett Bay Drainage Basin area. Three detailed plans were formulated, assessed and compared using economic, engineering, social and environmental criteria. (Author)
