Development of an Electronic Interface for a Fiber Optic Interferometric Sensor.

Abstract

This report documents the design, fabrication, and testing of an electronic interface unit for a fiber optic interferometric sensor. The unit is a wide dynamic range, highly linear FM demodulator for the detection of low modulation index FM signals in the presence of large, low frequency interfering signals. Ouputs to drive acousto-optic frequency shifters are provided. The report includes complete parts lists and schematic drawings for two units delivered to the sponsoring agency, Naval Research Laboratory. (Author)
