Microwave Landing System Flare Subsystem Test.

Abstract

Microwave Landing System (MLS) Flare subsystem performance data were collected on a specially instrumented Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Technical Center aircraft. The airborne data were compared with a theodolite tracking system reference and error plots generated. Due to extensive lightning damage only two flight tests were performed. Flare subsystem accuracy could not be determined because of insufficient data. (Author)
