Reactive and Energy Transfer Processes of the Neutral Radical Species HgBr in Gas Phase Collisions.

Abstract

Experimental investigations are conducted wherein kinetic process associated with the gas phase radical species HgBr are studied. These studies also serve to provide pertinent information to the development of the blue-green HgBr (B-->X) laser. The experiments utilize laser induced fluorescence (LIF) and/or chemiluminescence as a means for observing the collisional behavior of HgBr radicals.
