Reflections on Aircraft Unmask Ranges.

Abstract

An analytic representation is obtained of the range at which a terrain-following aircraft unmasks to an air defense site. The unmask range is expressed as a distribution that depends on a single parameter, the mean unmask range. That parameter is given as a function of terrain characteristics, aircraft height, and air defense site location. (Author)
