Datacomputer Project

Abstract

The datacomputer system is being designed as a large-scale data storage utility to be accessed from remote computers on the Arpanent and, potentially, on other networks. The development is phased, with each successive release of the system offering increased capabilities to users. During the present reporting period, the second major release of the system became operational. This release, while still primitive in many respects, is beginning to provide experience with actual applications and user programs.
