Organizational Socialization: A Longitudinal Analysis of Attitude Change, Turnover, and Reenlistment in the Military.

Abstract

A four year study was conducted to track a sample of 1976 Marine Corp recruits from the time of entry until completion of the enlistment period. Attitudinal data collected over three different occasions was compared for leavers, completers, and reenlisters. Significant differences among these groups are discussed as well as implications for successful socialization efforts. (Author)
