Failure-Free Reliability Tests.

Abstract

A failure-free reliability test is compared with a fixed-time test under a two-parameter Weibull failure distribution. The distribution of the length of the failure-free test is derived, along with conditional failure probabilities for items still operating at the end of the original burn-in time. Graphs are provided for calculating expected test length and conditional failure probabilities. (Author)
