R&D Equipment Information Report. Fault Tolerant Weather Radar Processor.

Abstract

A programmable signal processor which achieves fault tolerance and modularity through distribution of tasks among a number of identical programmable Common Elements including spares, is described. This processor's design and usage in a meteorological Doppler radar signal processing application is discussed at several levels of detail covering hardware firmware, operating system software, user software, and development aids.
