Structure of a Multibeam Adaptive Space-Time Processor.

Abstract

It is shown that an adaptive multi-input, multi-output space-time processor (beamformer and filter) consists of a multi-input, multi-output adaptive processor and a nonadaptive beamsteering operator. The adaptive processor is determined by the spatial and temporal properties of the noise field; whereas, the beamsteering operator is determined a priori by the desired beamsteering directions. In this structure, the multichannel adaptive processor is common to all the desired beamsteering directions. (Author)
