An Experimental Investigation of Rise Times of Very Weak Shock Waves.

Abstract

The present work has as its main contribution the development of the experimental technique of using exploding wires to generate N-waves. Consideration is also given to N-waves generated by sparks, in the UTIAS Travelling-Wave Sonic-Boom Simulator and from supersonic aircraft. (Author)
