Body and Surface Wave Modeling of Observed Seismic Events

Abstract

This research can be divided into three main topics, coupling of surface waves generated in laterally inhomogeneous source regions to teleseismic propagation paths, the use of long linear arrays to separate and interpret Lg waves in terms of higher mode surface waves, and the use of short and long period teleseismic body waves in determining the character of seismic sources.
