A Compilation of Stress Intensity Factor Solutions for Flawed Fastener Holes.

Abstract

Several sets of stress intensity factor solutions are provided for through-the-thickness, corner, and surface flawed holes. Results are given for both remote tensile and crack face pressure loading. It is suggested that the crack face pressure solutions can be used with the linear superposition method to analyze many other practical crack problems. The superposition technique is demonstrated with several sets of example calculations. (Author)
