Trusted Computer Systems - Glossary

Abstract

A Trusted Computer System is a computer system that employs sufficient hardware and software integrity measures to allow its use for the simultaneous processing of multiple levels of classified or sensitive information. This glossary was prepared for distribution at the Third Computer Security Initiative Seminar held at the National Bureau of Standards, November 18-20, 1980. Emphasis is on terms which relate to the formal specification and verification of such systems. (Author)
