Abstract

Lake Timberline Dam is located on an unnamed tributary to Choconut Creek in Silver Lake Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. The impoundment created by the dam is used for recreation and fishing. Erosion was observed around both downstream ends of the spillway training walls. Minor erosion was also noted along the upstream face of the embankment at normal pool level. Brush and some small trees are growing on the downstream face of the embankment. Clear seepage was flowing from the toe of the embankment near the outlet pipe.
