The Army Study Program, FY 1982

Abstract

This FY-82 study program includes command and agency agendas for the period. These studies include a broad class of intellectual activity characterized by the application of the tools of operational or systems analysis to Army problems. The studies are analytical examinations to assist Army decisionmakers. They develop assessments, alternatives, recommendations, or supporting methodologies. They contribute to greater understanding of relevant issues and lead to conclusions and recommendations for use by decisionmakers. The central purpose of each study is to support action when there is a reasonable expectation of a significant contribution to decisionmaking or policy development.
