A Two-Dimensional Core Graphics System for Research in Human-Computer Interfaces

Abstract

Graphics is an important requirement for human-computer communication, and in order to construct good interfaces and conduct behavioral experiments, a flexible and reliable package is required. Such a package must be extensible, and because of the dynamic nature of facilities, it must be quickly adaptable to new device types. This report describes a limited implementation of the ACM/SIGGRAPH Core System that will be the vehicle for the graphics aspects of the research program at Virginia Tech in human factors in computation.
