Target Classification for the Installation Security Radar System

Abstract

Target classification is discussed as applied to a ground-based site- security radar system. Discrimination functions were developed for human, vehicle, small animal, bird, and non translating return. Acceptable classification performance was achieved for single-cell assessment, and high- confidence classification is expected for multiple-cell (i.e., track) assessment. (Author)
