Abstract

This report provides information and analysis on the physical condition of the dam as of the report date. Information and analysis are based on visual inspection of the dam by the performing organization. Based on the evaluation of the existing conditions, the condition of the Newtown-Hoffman Creeks Watershed Project - Floodwater Retarding Dam Site 18 is considered to be good. The examination of documents and visual observations did not reveal conditions which constitute a hazard to human life or property. The spillway capacity was evaluated according to the recommended procedure and was found to pass the required spillway design flood of 100 percent of the Probable Maximum Flood (PMF). Therefore, the spillway capacity is rated as adequate. (Author)
