Research in Multi-Color Thin Film Emitters.

Abstract

A green thin film electroluminescent emitter has been developed capable of greater than 700 fL brightness. This is the brightest green EL device reported to date. In addition, both a blue and a red thin film emitter have been fabricated. The red emitter produced 15fL and the blue 1 fL. The device is a multilayer structure consisting of a rare earth activated ZnS layer sandwiched between two dielectric layers of Y2O3. (Author)
