A Pollution Abatement Concept: Evaluation of ECO-TEC Chromic Acid Recovery System.

Abstract

The evaluation of a short bed rapid cycle ion exchange concept for pollution control at the source has been completed. An ECO-TEC short bed rapid cycle ion exchange unit Model C12, was installed in a chromium electroplating line. The unit is designed to remove chromic acid and particulate matter from the first rinse tank and return purified water to the second rinse. It should recover 99% of the chromic acid input into the unit. This report is a critique on work done which is presented as Appendix A of this report.
