M577 Fuze P.D. Housing Assembly Optimization.

Abstract

The objective of this task was to reduce the cost of the current Three-Module Assembly, loaded by eliminating parts and assemblies. The current P.D. Housing, which is a high cost drawn aluminum part, is replaced by a polycarbonate part. This was accomplished by combining the functions of the Counter Housing and the P.D Housing ( 9236564) into one part. Several parts and assemblies were eliminated.
