Environmental Impact Study of the Northern Section of the Upper Mississippi River. Pool 10.

Abstract

The overall objectives of this report are to assess the impacts, both positive and negative, of the Corps of Engineers' activities on Pool 10 (Guttenberg, Iowa) on the Mississippi River. The report includes an analysis of natural and socioeconomic systems. The natural systems include terrestrial and aquatic plant and animal life, geology and water quality. Socioeconomic systems include industrial and recreational activities, and cultural considerations, which include archaeological and historic sites. (Author)
