First to Fight: A Battle Simulation at the Squad and Fireteam Level.

Abstract

The Marine Corps' mission requires the stationing of personnel aboard ship, or in areas where field training facilities are marginal or non-existent. The purpose of this research was to design a prototype manual board wargame for use at the fireteam and squad levels to supplement classroom training when these conditions exist. The prototype game is designed around the Marine Corps Combat Readiness and Evaluation System (MCCRES). (Author)
