Improved Sudakov-Type Bounds for Optimal Confidence Limits on the Reliability of Series Systems.

Abstract

A sharper Sudakov-type lower bound for the lower confidence limit on the reliability of a series system than the one given in Harris and Soms (1980) is obtained. Numerical examples, coverage probabilities and the listings of the short FORTRAN programs used are also provided. (Author)
