Converting Planit Lessons to Enhanced Format

Abstract

This research report relates the experience of converting 11,000 lines of Fire Mission PLANIT lesson scenario from conventional form to the enhanced PLANIT FORMAT. Authoring difficulties are discussed along with proposed solutions. Among the problems discussed is the proper sequencing of operations, particularly in the areas of input and output. This report concludes with several recommendations aimed at improving the human factors elements in authoring and in debugging the newly authored lessons.
