SHIP II Simulation Model: Validation and Evaluation.

Abstract

The SHIP-II computer simulation model, developed to assess the adequacy of manning suites for Navy ships, has been extensively revised since its initial development (1962). Prior to this effort/report, no systematic verification and validation of the model has been conducted and documented. This report describes the results of these tasks. It was determined that the SHIP-II model is not an accurate tool for the examination of manpower requirements and manning policies for Navy ships. (Author)
