Optimization of Auto-Pilot Equations for Rapid Estimation of Helicopter Control Settings.

Abstract

An automatic feedback system, based on continuous monitoring of control loads, is used to find the control settings that are required to obtain a given flight condition of a helicopter rotor. A program is developed that searches automatically for the optimum gains and time constants of the system. Satisfactory results are achieved for given conditions as an example. (Author)
