Studies on the Fracture Mechanisms in Partially Penetrated Filament Reinforced Laminated Plates.
Abstract
The overall objective of this program has been to obtain information on the fracture mechanisms occurring in centrally impacted composite plate configurations in order to establish basic design guidelines from systematic studies on geometrically controlled glass/epoxy composite material systems. In addition, information generated on the values of the dynamic material properties determined from the program should be of immediate use in penetration mechanics codes requiring such data. (Author)
