Documentation for SWATH Ship Resistance Optimization Program (SWATHO) User's and Maintenance Manual,

Abstract

This report documents a computer program, SWATHO, which optimizes SWATH ship geometry, resulting in a minimum resistance and EHP for a specified speed of the ship. Contained in the report is a detailed description of the procedure for assembling the input deck for use on the CDC-6000 computer system at DTNSRDC, running the program on this system and understanding the output from the program. Also included are main program and subroutine descriptions as well as theory behind the computations being performed.
